«AVIVAC-MAREK» strain FS-126

About the product

"AVIVAC-MAREK' is a live dry vaccine against Marek’s disease based on virus strain FS-126 with supplied diluent.

The vaccine has the appearance of a homogeneous dry yellowish white porous substance. The product is prepared from virus cultivated in fibroblast cells from quail embryos infected with turkey herpesvirus (HVT) strain FS-126 subjected to ultrasound disintegration and freeze-dried in the presence of a stabilizer. The buffered-solution-based stabilizer contains sucrose and gelatose. The vaccine is supplied together with diluent specially designed for AVIVAC-MAREK. The diluent has the appearance of a transparent reddish orange liquid. One dose of a diluent equals 0,2 cm³. The vaccine is available in hermetically sealed glass vials containing 500 to 2000 doses of the product. The diluent is supplied in 200 or 400 cm³ glass vials.

Biological properties 
Lifelong immunity to Marek’s disease forms 14 days post vaccination. One immunizing dose of a vaccine contains 2000 PFU. The vaccine is innocuous and non-reactogenic; it does not possess therapeutic properties.

Indications for use

Only clinically healthy birds are subject to vaccination. Chickens are vaccinated singly during the first hours after hatching. Vaccination is performed in a specially designated room within the hatchery. The vaccine is administered intramuscularly via a syringe or special automatic injector into the inner surface of the top part of the hip or subcutaneously into the upper third of the neck at the dose of 0,2 cm³.

If injection equipment similar to “Inovoject” is available, it is recommended to administer the vaccine directly into the embryo on the 18th day of incubation.In the presence of the injection equipment like “Ovojek” a preparation is recommended for the 18th days of incubation directly into an embryo.

Storage requirements
The shelf life of the live dry vaccine is 12 months from the date of manufacture if stored and transported in a dark dry place at a temperature between +2 and +8°С.
The shelf life of the diluent is 24 months if stored in a dry dark place at a temperature between +8 and +12°С.
